Police in Sumy pressed suspicion note to three attackers on Nash TV

Sumy Region Police served suspicion note to three men who attacked and obstructed journalists from the Nash TV channel on October 30 in Sumy. This was reported on the website of the National Police in Sumy region.

Police identified three offenders.

Thus, two men were notified about the suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 2 of Art. 171 ("Obstruction of lawful professional activity of journalists") of the Criminal code of Ukraine. 

Another was reported on suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 2 of Art. 345-1 ("Threat or violence against a journalist") of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The investigation is ongoing.

As IMI reported, on October 30, Nash TV channel reported that activists of Pravy Sektor clashed with journalists for one of the TV channels in Sumy. According to the channel's journalist Maksym Herasimenko, According to the channel's journalist Maksym Herasymenko, the attackers smashed the equipment and hit him in the face.

On this fact the police of the Sumy region opened criminal proceedings under part two of article 171 of the Criminal code of Ukraine.
