Groups of professional Russian propagandists have arrived in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson oblast and are filming staged videos intended for discrediting the Ukrainian Defense Forces and justifying the actions of the occupiers. This was reported by Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Malyar on her Telegram channel.

According to her, the propagandists arrived under the guise of journalists of the big Russian TV channels to the areas near the contact line. The filming was mostly carried out in Kakhovka and Hola Prystan districts of Kherson oblast, at civilian infrastructure facilities, medical and educational institutions, which had been "deliberately shelled by the Russian occupiers themselves" right before the arrival of the propagandists.

"They are accusing the Ukrainian Defense Forces of committing these crimes, which was purportedly confirmed by 'real footage.' Furthermore, the Russian fake videos were attempting to show the alleged mass support for the symbols of Russian statehood and the occupiers' actions on the part of schoolchildren. Namely, the propagandists filmed schoolchildren singing the Russian national anthem and making postcards to Russian servicemen, expressing their gratitude for liberation and reunification with Russia," said Malyar.

In this way, she added, Kremlin propagandists were trying to create an appropriate media background on the eve of Putin's annual address to the Federal Assembly.

We remind that on February 21, as the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin was making his speech, the occupiers shelled Kherson and Ochakiv (Mykolaiv oblast). The shelling killed five people and injured 16.
