Zelensky gives state awards to multiple media workers

On the occasion of the Ukrainian Independence Day, President Volodymyr Zelensky gave state awards to a number of Ukrainian media workers.

This is said in the head of state's decree №593/2022, dated August 23.

According to the decree, they were awarded "for their significant merits in strengthening the Ukrainian statehood, the courage and selflessness they showed protecting of the sovereignty and the territorial integrity of Ukraine, their significant personal contribution to the development of various spheres of public life, for defending our state's national interests, and their diligence in performing their professional duties."

Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise V degree was given to Oleksandr Bohutsky, director and president of the International Commercial Television and Radio Company (ICTV).

Order of Merit II degree:

Nahorna Natalia Viktorivna — special correspondent at TV and Radio Company "Studia 1+1"

Yarmolyuk Ruslan Fedorovych — special correspondent at "1+1"

Order of Merit III degree:

Ulyana Bezpalko – RBC-Ukraine journalist

Serhiy Bobok – Kharkiv Times photo correspondent, Agence France-Presse correspondent

Artem Vesko – Rada TV channel correspondent in Luhansk oblast

Oleksiy Hnylusha — editorial program presenter at the National Information Systems company, Kyiv

Yuriy Kalynovsky — 1+1 Production operational director

Serhiy Kozlov – Kharkiv Today news agency photo correspondent.

Yevhen Koshovoy – actor, program presenter

Andriy Kramchenkov — chief news editor at the Sumy Regional Directorate branch of the joint-stock company "National Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine"

Serhiy Kuropyatnyk — video operator at the Mykolaiv Regional Directorate branch of the joint-stock company "National Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine"

Oleksandr Martynenko — director general at the Interfax-Ukraine news agency

Oleksandr Pikalov – actor, program presenter

Serhiy Sydorenko — European Pravda website editor

Order "For Courage" of II degree was given to Andrii Tsaplienko, war correspondent at the Television and Radio Company "Studia 1+1"
