Taras Davydiuk, a soldier, founder and editor-in-chief of the Rivne outlet "Horyn.info", was killed in action, reports the website.

The soldier died on November 3 on the outskirts of Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia oblast. He was 37 years old.

The outlet notes that the journalist was well known to the patriotic community of Rivne oblast, as he had been active in various patriotic organizations since 2002. Namely, he was a member of the Youth Movement and managed branches of the Youth Nationalist Congress and Active Youth. He was also a member of the local "Plast" branch in Ostroh for some time.

He graduated from the Ostroh Academy, majoring in political science.

In the winter of 2013–2014, he took part in the Revolution of Dignity. At the start of the Russo–Ukrainian war, he served in the volunteer battalion "Harpoon", as did many "Plast" scouts. After that, he continued his service in a separate reconnaissance battalion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He only came home in early 2019.

With the start of the full-scale war, Taras went to the front line. In recent months, he fought in the 14th separate regiment together with his Harpoon comrades.

This September, the journalist got engaged to his girlfriend. On October 27, Taras wrote on Facebook: "Today there is no and cannot be a more important matter than the war. And everyone should realize this. And not only realize, but also act accordingly."

The editors ask for help to Taras' mother: her card number is 5167490061397452 (Davydiuk Lyudmyla Mykolayivna)

According to the IMI, Taras Davydiuk is the 69th media worker to die during the Russo–Ukrainian war.
