Kropyvnytsky online news outlets "Bez Kupyur" and "Puls" and the printed regional weekly "Nova Gazeta" will partner for the joint project "Mediakolo".

"Bez Kupyur" editor Nataliya Kryvoshey announced this on Facebook.

"The name 'Mediakolo' (Media Circle) best reflects our concept. It is both about the journalistic community and the media around / next to you. On Friday (September 22. – Ed.), our association and two journalistic projects were presented to the proactive segment of the public which shares our views and values. Because public involvement is what these projects are about. I am glad that those who were present responded well to our suggestions, that the generation of new ideas and cooperation formats kicked off right away. It is very cool to have like-minded people. I am convinced that together we can do more and that soon we will be able to present our joint work, which is important for society, for the wider public," Kryvoshey wrote.

The journalists promise to keep the readers updated about the steps that will be taken within the "Mediakolo" framework.

"Pulse" editor Andriy Klochek explained in a comment to the regional IMI representative that they were not merging into one legal entity, but rather consolidating the technical and human resources of three offices to work on socially important projects that would be difficult to bring to life alone. Namely, they plan to start a series of journalistic investigations and work in decision journalism.

"We plan to work on reports together, each outlet will release the reports in a different format: printed, online and video. Those will also be adapted to the audience of this outlet or another. In our opinion, such cooperation will allow us to spend less time searching for information, analyzing and preparing materials, while helping us bring the information to a wider audience. Moreover, we secured the support of some public organizations and activists who share our views and values. Many of them can act as experts on certain issues, consult us on specific topics, as well as suggest their own prompts and provide information," the editor summarized.
